| Job Description: |
COMSATS Internet Services (CIS), Pakistan's pioneer ISP, invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates, for appointment on contract basis against the post of Deputy General Manager (Systems) for Islamabad Office. Details of the position and placement is as under.
A suitable candidate must have 5 years of relevant experience and must be able to perform the following:
Job Responsibilities:
- Working in team environment and team lead management experience
- Knowledge of disaster recovery methods and procedures
- Knowledge of IPV4 and IPV6 and network configuration at operating systems level
- Knowledge about Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- WHM / cPanel and Plesk Panel
- Host firewalls, IPTables, DNS, SMTP, apache, SSH, SSL, FTP
- IIS, Apache, Exim, SmarterMail, MailEnable, MySQL, MS SQL Server
- Knowledge of Spamfilters, Symantec SMG and SMTP Messaging Gateways
- Knowledge about Migration of Hosting Accounts from a Server to Other and hosting panel to panel and cross panel etc
- Restoration of Services in Minimum Possible Time in Case of any Failure
- Ensuring Security of Hosting Servers.
- Storage technologies such as SAN, NAS and concepts of RAID levels.
- File system management of EXT3/4, NFS, ISCSI, XFS, and LVM.
- VMWare ESX virtual environments
- Linux shell scripting
- Excellent expertise of Linux systems admin troubleshooting
Skills Required:
- Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- WHM / cpanel and Plesk Panel
- IIS, Apache, Exim, Smarter Mail, Mail Enable, FTP, DNS, Firewalls, MySQL, MS SQL Server
- Knowledge of Steamfitters and SMTP Messaging Gateways
